Muzaffarpur News: Bihar has now done a great job in the field of computers. C-DAC (Center for Development of Advanced Computing) in Patna has built the state's first supercomputer 'Param Buddha'. This computer is equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI). 'Param Buddha' has been tested in many areas and now it is fully ready to work. Soon it will be officially launched. With the construction of 'Param Buddha', Bihar has joined the category of states where such modern computers are present.
'Param Buddha' has been tested at many important places including IIT BHU, Army. There is a demand to install it in IIT Patna as well. It is being told that this supercomputer will make research work easier in many areas like health, education, agriculture, science and technology. 'Param Buddha' will prove to be very helpful in those researches which have to analyze a large amount of data.
Cost Of Param Buddha
The cost of making this supercomputer is Rs 4 crore 50 lakh. It has a Graphic Processing Unit (GPU) different from other supercomputers. Usually other supercomputers have CPU (Central Processing Unit). Due to GPU, it can do many tasks simultaneously without any mistake. Aditya Kumar Sinha, Director of CDAC-Patna, said that Param Buddha is the first AI based supercomputer built in Bihar. It has been completely successful in testing on many aspects. With its help, many complex tasks can also be done easily in all important areas including research, education, health, policing.
'Param Buddha' Uses
- 'Param Buddha' will play an important role in planning cities, developing sewage lines and promoting farming in a modern way.
- It will also be helpful in providing quick facilities to the people in government sectors, improving health services, smart policing and preventing cyber crime.
- Farmers will get information about diseases affecting crops and their treatment.
- In the field of health also, it will be helpful in studying the effects of a disease or the effects of long term use of a medicine.
- It will also easily perform complex tasks like preparing a traffic route plan with the help of 3D graphic map.
- Land registry, mutation, services under the Right to Service Act often face the problem of slow servers. 'Param Buddha' will solve these problems in a jiffy.
